Be the competition, not the competitor

So you've just started up your own small business, or are thinking about it? You are probably pretty excited about everything, even if it is proving to be a lot of hard work - no doubt though, it will be well worth the effort in the end. Have you considered how you are going to represent your business online though? It's an important question to consider, because your competition are most likely already online and established.
These days it is not so hard to forget about getting the all important web site design organised, but finding the right company to do it may be a bit daunting. You only need to do a quick search for web site designers in your local area and you will no doubt be presented with pages of results of web sites by companies proclaiming to be web site designers in your area, but a little closer inspection will reveal that their main office is hundreds of miles away and they simply have a couple of contacts near you. Well done to them for getting their search engine optimisation sorted, but it's no good for you when you want to really do business with them.
We carry out web site design in Melbourne and surrounding areas where competition is pretty hot. You'd be surprised how many of the companies you find through the search engines though, are not Melbourne based web site designers.
Your new business is going to bring a change to your local area. Your new products and services are going to give the people new choice and new possibilities that weren't available before. Your image is everything, not just your logo, or your van, or your shop-front, but your web site too. Do not let your competition beat you on this.
It's a common occurence these days, you do it yourself before you buy any new product or service, you search the Internet for reviews, opinions and recommendations. It may be a new camera or car, but perhaps you are looking for a local cleaner, painter, brick layer or car mechanic. If you find a business online whose service is what you are looking for, the chances are you are not going to look any further, you will at least give them a call. Picture what would happen though if the company you had found was not on the Internet, what would you have done then? I'm guessing you would have gone to the next business and the other one would simply have lost out.
Don't let the same thing happen to your new business. Get yourself a web site designed and be found in your area by getting it search engine optimised. We prefer to work with small businesses because it is far more satisfying watching new enterprises excell on the Internet. Take a look around this site at our services to see how we can work with you and then contact us with details of your situation so we can get back to you with free, no obligation advice on how to proceed.
